The Need — Website Redesign
Volunteer Recycling & Salvage, Inc. in Portland, TN has been serving the community and surrounding areas for over 30 years. Individuals and businesses are both able to bring in their scrap to be recycled at their facility. Volunteer Recycling works with commercial accounts to schedule pickup and drop offs as needed. Their reputation for honest weights and fair pricing is well known in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.
Their website was designed several years ago and did not reflect their knowledge in the industry, explain who they were, what they offered and in addition it needed to be mobile friendly. Another key need was to bring emphasis to all the products and services they offer. They also wanted to showcase their newest service of roll away dumpsters that are available for commercial or personal use. One last need was to have their location and hours of operation featured prominently and easy to find on the website
The Solution – Website Redesigned
Each product and service was given it’s own section on the website and now stands on its own. The front page features a large photo of each section and can be accessed from the home page or top menu navigation. The overall site is user and mobile friendly. The business location and hours are easily found on the right side of the product pages as well as in the footer. In addition, there are links to additional information and laws that govern the scrap metal industry.
